Japanese Mountains: Snake Boots II
Today I was finally physically strong enough to once again climb Mt. Kongo. This was of course a great chance to again use my new snake boots that I bought in Tennessee, The temperature was exactly 0 at the peak of Mt. Kongo and there was light snow cover in places-perfect conditions to make use of knee high warm boots.
Because I am still quite weak physically because of my recent chemo treatments I chose to climb the Sillver Course which I believe is the easiest Mt. Kongo route. It was wonderful to be back in the mountains again. I noticed that the wild boars (inoshishi) had been very busy digging up roots etc. all along the side of the valley.
I also enjoyed stopping in at the rest area near the peak for a cup of hot coffee made using Mt. Kongo natural spring water. Over all I had a really enjoyable day. I am so glad that in spite of the chemo treatments I can still look forward to being strong enough to go climbing at times. PTL

Congrats!! Glad you had another chance to use your favorite new snake boots, and that in perfect conditions.
But I'm not surprised, "for nothing is impossible with God".
You might be upset if I compare any mountain with a staircase, but every time I must go up and down stairs, I just can't seem to make it on my own.
Once I start lifting myself up, God helps me go up, keeping me from being thrown off balance. I am on the top of the stairs in no time at all.
And I am not speaking figuratively when I say so.
In the same way, I know that God will put you back at the foot of the mountain and pushes you up to wherever you want again and again in years to come.
God created the mountain, so it is no wonder that he makes those things possible. Keep your snake boots nice and shiny.
By the way, concerning your latest CD, I just can't dig enough of it. Sounding very soothing. I used it a number of times to go to sleep, not meaning to say it is boring.
Suppose I mix some tracks off of John Fahey's 'Yes, Jesus loves me' with some from yours and burn them to a CD.
Would that be cool? lol whatever.....
Peace always and stay blesed.

Thanks so much for the good comments, Osamu San. I can understand very well your reference to climbing stairs. Yesterday, I really felt it was impossible to climb the mountain but as I climbed one step at at time God gave me strength and I found myself at the top-as you mentioned, "With God ALL things are POSSIBLE". That is a really wonderful promise.
I am also glad to hear that you are enjoying my CD-it should be subtitled "The Living Room Tapes" because it is basically just me sitting in my living room messing around with my guitar.
May God bless and I am looking forward to seeing you again in church.
In Jesus,
Paul

Dear R and M,
Great to hear from you! Yes, when I am not under the influence of the chemotherapy I am quite strong. In fact, I climbed Mt. Kongo again today! Thanks for your prayers. It was great to see you again in Japan this year! Hope you can come again!
In Jesus,
Paul
